Prysmian earns global recognition in TIME’s 2025 sustainability ranking

Prysmian has been named one of the Top 40 most sustainable companies in the world by TIME and Statista in their 2025 ranking, making it the second-highest ranked Italian company among the 500 evaluated globally.

The ranking assesses corporate progress in environmental and social impact throughout the 2023 calendar year. It relies on objective indicators such as emission reductions, renewable energy use, and the adoption of science-based climate targets. In a challenging global environment shaped by tariffs, supply chain shifts, and new clean energy incentives, Prysmian stood out by delivering measurable results in the fight against climate change.

A fast track to Net Zero through innovation and emission cuts

By 2030, Prysmian aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 60%, advancing beyond the -37% target set for 2024, with a long-term goal of a 90% reduction by 2035 compared to its 2019 baseline. Through innovative sustainable solutions and the increasing use of low-impact materials, the company also plans to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 65% by 2030. In 2024 alone, Prysmian achieved a 54% reduction in emissions compared to 2019, underlining its concrete commitment to climate action. The ultimate goal remains a 90% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2035.

Thanks to these milestones and a strong focus on innovation, Prysmian has moved its Net Zero target forward by 15 years, now aiming for 2035. This acceleration supports decarbonization efforts across the entire value chain. These results form the foundation of the company’s sustainability strategy, which is integrated into its broader “Accelerating Growth” plan, presented in New York last March. Prysmian is also among the first companies worldwide to establish a Net Gain target for biodiversity, to be achieved by 2035.

This new recognition further cements Prysmian’s role as a global leader in sustainable innovation, helping to build a low-impact future.
