Smart building automation enhanced with SpaceLogic KNX Secure
Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital energy management and automation, has expanded its smart building automation offering with SpaceLogic KNX Secure, a new range of devices designed to bring advanced cybersecurity, energy efficiency, and flexibility to modern residential and commercial buildings.
Built on the international KNX protocol, SpaceLogic KNX Secure allows the development of scalable, intelligent systems that meet the highest cybersecurity requirements. The system integrates encryption and authentication mechanisms to safeguard communication between devices, blocking unauthorized interception or tampering. This ensures robust protection against hacking attempts and data breaches, delivering safe and uninterrupted operations across all building functions.
A comprehensive portfolio of advanced control and security devices
The product line includes a 4-inch SpaceLogic LCD Touch Panel with an elegant, user-friendly interface for centralized control of lighting, blinds, and temperature. Users can create and manage custom scenes with ease. Its compact, contemporary design suits any environment, while the eConfigure KNX software simplifies setup by automatically configuring connected devices, no advanced technical skills required.
Also included in the range are KNX IP Secure and KNX Data Secure components, which secure both IP network and KNX bus communications. Additional devices such as SpaceLogic KNX relay and dimmer actuators, SpaceLogic KNX push-button interfaces, and the SpaceLogic KNX Dynamic Labeling Push button complete the system. The latter offers up to eight configurable channels for managing lights, shades, dimmers, and scenes, making it ideal for both new and retrofit projects.
Fully compliant with KNX Secure standards, the system also enables accurate energy performance monitoring and reporting while shielding data from cyber threats. This guarantees a stable and efficient operation for any smart building automation system.
All SpaceLogic KNX Secure devices are compatible with existing KNX installations, including those not yet using Data Secure technology. The system can be configured to work with both Secure and non-Secure KNX protocols, ensuring maximum integration flexibility.
