Ermete Realacci
President of Symbola – Foundation for Italian Qualities. Honorary President of Legambiente, the most prominent and widespread environmental association in Italy, which he led in its early years, and founder of the Kyoto Club. Member of Parliament for 4 terms since 2001 and Chairman of the Environment Committee from 2013 to 2018, he is the first signatory of environmental laws such as the eco-crimes regulation and the ban on microplastics in cosmetics, as well as the law for the enhancement of small municipalities. He has undertaken many battles and initiatives in defense of the environment and to promote Italy's heritage focusing on history and nature, art and culture, creativity, and beauty. In 2019, he was among the promoters, together with the Sacred Convent of the "Assisi Manifesto”, for a human-centered economy against the climate crisis.
